To do

  • Climb the 1000 steps to Chamundi Hills, get some great exercise and in the bargain an enchanting view of the city
  • Catch a play at Rangayana, one of the best known theater places in South India
  • Take a walk around Kukkarahalli or the Karanji Lakes (or both), enjoy the sunset and boating in Karanji
  • Watch the stunning sight of the Illuminated Palace, over the weekend between 7 and 8 PM http://www.mysorepalace.in/
  • PlanetX, for some bowling, karting, gaming and some hooka in their Hooka Bar.

To See

  • Mysore Palace, something that probably every tourist sees when in Mysore
  • Tipu's Fort and Palace, Island of Srirangapatna, Battlefield of the famed Anglo-Mysorean Wars.
  • Devaraja Market, Colorful and Vibrant !!
  • Art Museum at Jagan Mohan's Palace, our man Rembrandt's self portrait is in there.
  • Chamundi Temple, The 15th Century structure atop the Hill

Food / Drinks

I'm a foodie.. so this is close to me :)

  • Olive Garden, lovely ambiance where ducks keep you company while you enjoy your food/drink
  • Green Hotel, erstwhile royal mansion, enjoy a lovely dinner/drink on their sprawling lawns
  • Royal Orchid Brindavan Garden, The famous Krishna Raja Sagara Dam over looking the completely lit Brindavan Garden makes this truly place special
  • Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel, for a Royal Exeperience
  • Royal Orchid Metropole, Some good coffee and great food in a lovely heritage hotel
  • Dasprakash Paradise, for some good South Indian food.
